After the car parade in the village today, we were treated to a soap box derby (also known as a cartie race to some). The competitors all did fantastically well both on and off the track with some fabulous machines taking part. This was an excellent taster of what to expect from the soap box aspect of the Royal Deeside Speed Festival in a few weekends time. With an even longer, steeper and FASTER track to contend with... It should make for some interesting viewing. We cannot wait to see it!..
